Wallowa Mountains Hells Canyon Trails Association

Lower Imnaha Trail #1713 Work Party

March 11, 2017

Beginning of the season trail work day of the Wallowa Mountains Hells Canyon Trails Assn.

A team of 12 volunteers cleared brush on the Lower Imnaha River Trail #1713 on Saturday, March 11, to get the trail ready for spring hikers. The day was cool and perfect for field work. Trail work started at 9:45 am and ended at 4 pm – everyone was back in Joseph by 6 pm. 2.75 miles were cleared, with another 2 miles needing further maintenance.

We invite anyone with some spare time, and who loves to get out on the trail, to join us for a little work and a little fun. Contact us at info@WMHCTA.org.

WMHCTA works to improve recreation trails within the Wallowa Mountains and Hells Canyon areas, making trails more accessible and safe for all. WMHCTA also seeks to protect and provide stewardship for cultural resources on public lands. These activities are done in cooperation with the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest.
