Wenaha River Access Trails

June 7-10, 2019

On June 7-10, 2019, a crew of volunteers worked on the Wenaha River access trails (Hoodoo, Cross Canyon, and Elk Flat) for the second time in two years. The area of the Hoodoo and Cross Canyon Trails burned in 2015.

We returned to the Hoodoo Trail for some additional work, cut out 19 logs and did a lot of brushing on the Cross Canyon Trail, which we didn’t get to last year, and returned to the Elk Flat Trail, where we cleared about a dozen new downed logs and accomplished additional brushing. We established a camp at Elk Flat Trailhead and took day drips from there to work on the trails.
