We hit the trail with the Wallowa Resources' (WR) HAWK Interns to brush the Falls Creek Trail in Eagle Cap Wilderness. Four interns and the WR Education Program Specialist worked with WMHCTA staff to learn more about the wonderful world of trails. The interns are Wallowa County high school juniors and seniors who learn from and work with natural resource professionals over an eight-week summer internship. The program allows interns to experiment with potential careers, contribute to their community, expand their understanding of Wallowa County, and collect meaningful and impactful data that will improve forest management efforts in the area.
