Youth on Trails

Hawk Students and WMHCTA volunteers work to clear boulders from the Silver Creek Trail

WMHCTA works with students both at Joseph High School Fire and Forestry program, and with Wallowa Resources HAWK High School Internship program. 

By teaching youth skills for trail building, maintenance,  and construction, students learn and use practical knowledge for keeping trails open for recreation.
