Trails: Chief Joseph Trail #1803
Itinerary: Join us for a work day along the Chief Joseph Trail with the HAWK High School Crew from Wallowa Resources. We will be working on tread repair, brushing, and rock removal. Meet at the Marina Parking Lot at Wallowa Lake State Park at 9:00 am.
Bring your own lunch and water.
Gear Packing List: Early summer-hot conditions with periods of intense sun exposure and variable weather.

Difficulty Rating: Moderate
You should have experience outdoors and be in good hiking condition with broken-in and tested gear. We will be working within a few miles of a TH.
Hike: 3/5 Moderate: A couple of short, steep sections
Project Work: 4/5 Moderate-Strenuous: -- Tread repair involves using tools to improve tread including swinging, lifting, and twisting. Rock removal requires bending over and lifting.
