Trails: Middle Minam Trail #1673
Itinerary: Join us for a stock-supported trip that will begin at Moss Springs Trailhead. From there, we will hike 8 miles down to Red's Historic Horse Ranch, which will serve as our base for brushing and clearing logs along the Middle Minam River Trail #1673.
We will be working on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, with a pack-out scheduled for the 24th. Volunteers have the option to have their gear either packed in or flown in by plane.
Breakfast and dinners will be provided, with volunteers needing to bring their own lunches and the ability to filter water.
Gear Packing List: Early summer-hot conditions with periods of intense sun exposure and variable weather.
Crew Leader: Russ & Mary West
Difficulty Rating: Moderate-Strenuous
You should have experience outdoors and be in good hiking condition with broken-in and tested gear. This is a remote backcountry project, so injuries such as sprains and blisters or even extreme fatigue from not being properly conditioned can quickly become a big safety issue.
Hike: 3/5 Moderate-Strenuous
Project Work: 3/5 Moderate-Strenuous: -- Mostly logout with some brushing.
