Trails: Temperance Creek Trail #1778, High Trail # 1751
Project Trail Map: Temperance Creek Project Map
Itinerary: This trip will start at the Warnock Corral trailhead. We will hike 5.5 miles down the Temperance Creek Trail to the Wisnor Place near the junction with the High Trail, where we will establish a base camp. From there, we will work to clear trees and brush approximately 1.5 miles upstream to connect with the extent of the work done by the MCC earlier this year. If time allows, work will continue east on the High Trail.
Directions: From Joseph, head East toward Imnaha on OR-350. Follow for 29 miles. Upon reaching Imnaha, continue straight through town and onto Hat Point Road, NF-4240. Follow for 26 miles. Pass the turnoff for Hat Point on your right and continue 4 miles to the trailhead on your right.
**Advisory - The final 3 miles to the trailhead are poorly maintained. A high-clearance vehicle is recommended but not required.
Bring your own food and the ability to filter water.
